Entrepreneur

Meet the next contestant for the Apprentice television show. Future entrepreneur Mr. Alex thought he could earn some side cash by selling sticks of gum for $2.00/pieces. I'm forcing him to give the money that he received back to the kids and according to him, some of the children had to write an IOU to him because they wanted a stick of gum. He is also forgetting those debters. I'm going to stop complaining about gas prices because if Alex were in charge, we might all be paying $20/gal.

What's worse - charging $2.00 for a stick of gum or actually paying $2.00 for a stick of gum. Hmmmm! Those kids must have been pretty desperate.

Things have changed since I was in kindergarten. I don't have $2.00 on me now let alone when I was in grade school.

Yes - that is how I found out about Alex's dealing at school. Well, I would have found out when I looked in his school bag and found a wad of cash in there.

I would encourage him to open a lemonade stand this summer but we might have to discuss supply/demand economics before hand.

OH - and the IOUers - he actually kept a list of kids who owed him money. Some of these kids were in 2nd grade!!!! I'm feeling pretty good about the bullying problem at our school - in my day as a kindergartener, a 2nd grader would have just pushed me down and took the whole pack of gum.

That is funny!
I'm surprised that many parents send cash with their kids to school.
I only send money when needed for book fairs or class parties.

Wow, gum is spendy and since when did kids have that kind of money on them...hmm...I am really scared now for when Marissa starts kindergarten. HEHE :)

Thanks for checking out my blog and yes you did meet me down at Rumor's. I have seen your blog before but I never put 2 and 2 together. Small World!

Jamie - if she doesn't have cash on her, Alex does accept most major credit cards and checks ;)

Are you not giving your little Alex an allowance? Is that why he has to resort to dealing gum at school? ;-D

He is such a sweetie, though, taking IOUs. "Dealers" usually don't allow that, right?

I think Alex is on to something. Are you sure you want to squelch that, Amanda? Just make sure to teach him that a good son always takes care of his mama.

You know Karen - I've always DREAMED of owning a Harley!!!
